Have you heard of the new trend active meditation?
In traditional meditation, we typically sit still and engage in exercises to concentrate our thoughts or focus on a specific part of our body.
Active meditation, on the other hand, involves movement. Given the sedentary lifestyle many people lead today, incorporating movement can make it easier to reconnect with our bodies. This is especially helpful after spending long hours engrossed in work or screen time. Engaging in uncontrolled movements like shaking or free dancing can actually facilitate a deeper meditative state compared to sitting still.
While sitting and meditating is wonderful, it does require a significant amount of time and patience. However, if we only have a few minutes each day, active meditation provides a more accessible pathway to inner reflection for most individuals.
