You Only Have to Exercise One or Two Days a Week for Optimum Health
Share
Here’s a little relief for anyone who beats themselves up for not getting to the gym as often as they “should.”
Turns out, you don’t have to.
What the Study Found
A new study from the School of Public Health at Southern Medical University found that being a weekend warrior—exercising just one or two days a week—can give you nearly all the same health benefits as working out daily. The key? Intensity and consistency.
Researchers looked at the exercise habits of over 93,000 people in the UK and tracked their health outcomes. Those who hit at least 150 minutes (that’s about 2.5 hours) of moderate to vigorous activity in total per week—even if all in one or two sessions—had a 32% lower risk of dying from any cause compared to inactive people.
Their risk of dying from heart disease dropped by 31%, and from cancer by 21%.
Even more surprising? Weekend warriors seemed to fare slightly better than those who exercised more regularly throughout the week.
The Smart Approach
Of course, there’s a small catch: doing all your movement in one or two bursts means you need to be smart about it. Warm up well, pace yourself, and build intensity over time to avoid overuse injuries
But overall, this is pretty great news for anyone juggling a busy life.
Movement = Circulation = Glowing Skin
Whether it’s hiking, dancing, swimming, or just a brisk walk that gets your heart rate up—it all counts. The important part is movement.
When you move, your circulation improves, which means your skin—our largest organ—gets more oxygen and nutrients. That natural increase in blood flow delivers a healthy, radiant glow that no filter can fake.
Think of it as skincare from the inside out.
And if you pair that internal boost with nourishing organic skincare on the outside, your skin will thank you twice.
Post-Workout Skincare Favorites
Here are a few of my personal favorites for post-workout care:
- All You Need Is Me balm – perfect for soothing dry areas or wind-chapped skin after outdoor activities.
- Face It serum – replenishes and locks in moisture after a workout, rich in chia seed oil and antioxidants.
- Sea Me mask – a refreshing deep clean and circulation boost in a jar (great after a sweaty session).

Buy NowThe Takeaway
You don’t have to do it all.
You just have to move—regularly enough and joyfully enough to feel alive in your own body.
Even if it’s just twice a week.
Even if it’s a long walk with music, a spontaneous dance in your kitchen, or an hour of gardening that leaves you flushed and happy.
It’s not about perfection; it’s about momentum.
And that’s what keeps both your body and your skin glowing.

My background is in food, nutrition, and natural health, so creating products that are good for both people and the planet just made sense. I’m endlessly curious about wellness, sustainability, and all the ways nature helps us heal and glow — inside and out.
