If you’re anything like me, the end of summer brings a bit of sadness. The long, sunny days fade into shorter, cooler ones, and it’s easy to feel a little down. But don’t worry—there are plenty of ways to keep your spirits high and find joy in the everyday. Here are some tips to brighten your day, no matter the season:
1. Dress to Feel Good
Even if you’re working from home or sticking to a casual routine, make an effort to dress up a little. Slip into your favorite top, put on your best necklace, or wear those fancy shoes you love. When you look good, you feel good—it’s a small boost that can make a big difference.
2. Start Your Day with Positivity
Every morning, write down three positive things before you start your workday. It can be anything, from something you’re grateful for to something you’re looking forward to. Make it a habit. A little gratitude goes a long way in setting the tone for the day.
3. Laugh in Front of the Mirror
This one may sound a little silly, but it works. Stand in front of the mirror and laugh. At first, it might feel forced, and sure, people might think you’re a little “coconuts” for doing it. But guess what? Your brain doesn’t know the difference between a real and a forced laugh—it still triggers a release of feel-good chemicals that boost your mood.
