Finding your flow - your Ikigai

Have you ever completely lost track of time while doing something you love?

Maybe you were painting, dancing, gardening, or even just having a deep conversation. That feeling of being fully immersed in the moment is what psychologists call “flow.” And when you follow those moments of flow, you may get closer to something even more powerful—your ikigai.

What is Ikigai?

Ikigai is a beautiful Japanese concept that loosely translates to “a reason for being.” It’s the intersection where your passions, talents, and values meet with what the world needs. It’s what gets you out of bed in the morning.

For some, it’s found in their work. For others, it’s in a hobby, caregiving, creativity, or nature.

But ikigai isn’t something you necessarily find overnight. It’s something that unfolds gradually, through self-discovery and by paying attention to what makes you come alive.

What Makes You Flow?

To find your ikigai, start with this simple question:
What activities make your life flow?

  • Do you feel most at ease when moving your body—walking, swimming, yoga, or dancing?
  • Or do you lose yourself in writing, planning, designing, or solving problems?
  • Do you find your flow more when you’re alone or when surrounded by others?

There’s no right or wrong answer. The key is to notice what energizes you, what you look forward to, and what makes you feel connected and purposeful.

Sometimes it’s found in quiet moments; other times, it’s sparked by community and collaboration.

The Mysterious Magic of Flow

Flow isn’t always predictable. It’s almost mysterious, like a whisper from your soul. But just like a muscle, the more you train it, the more naturally it comes.

That’s why it’s important to:

  • Spend more time in activities that make you flow
  • Try new things—even if they seem silly or small
  • Notice when time disappears and you feel most yourself

The more you tap into these moments, the closer you’ll get to your ikigai.

My Ikigai: True Organic of Sweden

For me, one of the greatest sources of flow is creating products that people love—products that are kind to the planet and to the skin.

I experience pure joy when I hear from our community:

“Your All You Need Is Me balm saved my winter skin.”
“I can’t live without Undercover Agent!”
“Face It serum is magic in a bottle.”

Knowing that people all over the world are choosing healthier, more natural skincare makes all the late nights and startup hurdles worth it.

That connection, that feedback, that loyalty—it energizes me and gives me purpose. It’s part of my ikigai.

Founder — True Organic of Sweden AB

Hi, I’m Tina — founder of True Organic of Sweden. I started the brand because I wanted skincare that was truly clean, effective, and made with as few ingredients as possible (but only the best ones). My background is in food, nutrition, and natural health, so creating products that are good for both people and the planet just made sense. I’m endlessly curious about wellness, sustainability, and all the ways nature helps us heal and glow — inside and out.
