The EU will no longer allow products that contribute to deforestation. This means that the EU will be the first in the world to have a law that limits global deforestation. Per Larsson is a forestry expert at WWF and explains what the law means.
- Products that contribute to deforestation will no longer end up on shop shelves and plates in the EU. The legislation will cover everything from soy, palm oil, beef and coffee to wood products and rubber. Hopefully, the new law can put pressure on other countries to follow suit.
