Organic vs. Natural: What’s the Difference?
In the world of skincare, the terms organic and natural are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same. At True Organic of Sweden, we believe in full transparency, so let’s break down the differences and why they matter when choosing your skincare products.
What Does Organic Mean?
Organic ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. This means they are cultivated in a way that respects the environment, preserves biodiversity, and avoids harmful chemicals that could end up on your skin.
At True Organic of Sweden, we prioritize organic ingredients whenever possible. Our mission is to keep the organic content at the highest level, ensuring that your skin absorbs only the purest and most nutrient-rich elements nature has to offer.
What About Natural Ingredients?
A natural ingredient comes from nature plants, minerals, or animals rather than being synthetically created in a lab. However, not all natural ingredients are organic. They may still be grown with pesticides or undergo processing that reduces their purity.
In our formulas, we carefully select natural ingredients, many of which are organic in practice but not officially certified. The certification process can be expensive, especially for small businesses and independent farmers. That’s why we prioritize quality over certification, ensuring our ingredients meet the highest standards regardless of their label.
Our Commitment to Clean Beauty
At True Organic of Sweden, we use only natural and organic ingredients, with one small exception 1% baking soda in our Undercover Agent deodorants. This minimal amount helps combat odor effectively while keeping the formula gentle and free from synthetic chemicals.
