Solution to dry itchy skin

Hydration station
When we develop new products, the ingredients are of utmost importance of course and thoroughly researched and tested. When making a body lotion there were several criteria to consider. It had to keep skin moisturized all day, penetrate skin quickly, sustainable, natural and organic ingredients and a have a lovely scent. This is why we chose oat kernel oil as one of the main ingredients. Oats have incredible antioxidant benefits, which make them pretty amazing as a moisturizer. Oat oil can provide massive relief for anyone suffering from itchy skin. Although it’s an oil, it is highly absorbable by the skin, meaning no greasy residue and all the great benefits sinking straight into the skin and also penetrating deeply.
We included it in our Body buddy lotion because of its ability to nourish and soothe maturing, sensitive and damaged skin, and for its support of the elasticity of skin. This means that when you apply it in the morning, your skin is still soft and supple in the evening. With the uplifting citrus scent it puts a zing! to my morning and makes it easier to face the day

Chia seed oil fabulous for a beautiful complexion

Most of us know that chia seeds are great for our bodies when adding to food and smoothies for example. But did you know that oil extracted from chia seeds has incredible beauty benefits? Not only are they rich in precious omega-3 fatty acids, but they’re also intensely anti-inflammatory, calming and antioxidant-rich. What does that mean exactly? Chia seed oil is a great bet for restoring vital moisture, diminishing redness and inhibiting the appearance of wrinkles.
Those essential fatty acids also help to make the skin feel soothed and calmed, while giving it a supple and plumped up appearance. Another bonus to using chia seed oil on skin is its bounty of antioxidants, which help to protect the skin from signs of age, environmental, and UV induced damage. The oil is lightweight and non-greasy, so it won’t leave skin feeling oily. People with dry skin will love using chia seed oil for its amazing moisturizing properties. However, chia seed oil is actually great for all skin types—even oily, which can be surprising to many people. There is a common myth that applying oil to an oily skin will make it worse. This isn’t the case. Oily skin can really benefit from the nourishment that chia seed oil can give, ultimately helping it to control itself and to stop overproducing oil. Chia seed oil is rich in vitamin B3 and zinc, which means it balances oily skin and keeps the complexion clear Soft hydrated skin with a youthful look who doesn’t want that? This is why chia seed oil is the main ingredient in our award winning Face it serum. Top tip – make sure your skin is a bit moist before adding drops of oil on your face, this helps the oil penetrate the skin.

Healing from a torn calf muscle

Never do I appreciate my healthy body as when I hurt it and it doesn’t function as it normally does. It’s a reminder that we really should be grateful for our amazing bodies. Last week when I played tennis with my son, I tore a muscle in my calf. Full on rest and forced to lie still. I have never wanted to move so much in my life 😉

To encourage healing from the inside I took Magnesium for muscle pain, turmeric as it’s a superstar anti inflammatory, zinc for wound healing and cut out sugar as it adds inflammation and ate fresh, clean anti inflammatory foods. Of course I also applied the soothing All you need is me balm on my legs for relief . I never new tennis could be such a dangerous sport 🎾

Benefits of organic skincare

.By Stephanie Brown

Source : greengrasshome.com

Why Organic Skincare? I get asked this question quite often. Simply put, there are 2 reasons: the good Organic skincare products work better, and they are better for you. People are subject to tons of advertising from the industry giants trying to convince them that their synthetic formulas will work wonders on their skin. Although small companies making pure, natural beauty products don’t have the advertising dollars needed to gain household recognition, the quality and performance of their products makes them worth searching out. If you are in pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, choosing Organic skincare is a priority. The topic is enormous. It is impossible to cover all the points in one discussion. In this article I will go through the basic benefits of choosing natural beauty products. We will continue in greater detail in articles to come.

When you choose organic skincare, you are choosing products whose ingredients work with the sophisticated natural systems of your skin. Given the right nutrients, our skin has the ability to care for and mend itself. Our bodies use nutrients absorbed not only through food, but also through the skin. It is medically understood that what goes on your skin absorbs into your bloodstream and is carried through your body. Why is it that we are far more scrutinizing about what we put in our body than what we put on it? You have probably thought about the benefits of eating a healthy diet. It makes you wonder about the effects of all the chemicals in the skin products that you are slathering on and rubbing in.

The benefits of natural skincare and cosmetics

Why Organic Skincare? Avoiding chemicals and synthetics.

Why Organic Skincare? Rates of illness and disease continue to rise. There are increasing studies showing the connection between illness and chemicals. We need to eliminate or reduce exposure to synthetics. Synthetics are simply not necessary in skincare and in many cases synthetics are downright scary. These ingredients are often fast acting and invasive. Sometimes (and if you want my honest opinion; ALWAYS) they are causing harm we cannot see. Often this exposure rears its ugly head as skin irritation, chronic headaches, cancers, breathing disabilities, hormone disruption, etc, etc, etc. The range of symptoms is too vast to list everything, but you can see how it covers minor symptoms right up to life threatening consequences.

And for what?! you ask. I’ll tell you for what– first and foremost: money, cheap ingredients are easy to manufacture and market. Also, many commercial products will give you instant gratification with skincare results. Most of these products are designed to do a simple job to help you with one aesthetic purpose; Smoother less visible wrinkles, sun spots disappear, blemishes be gone! Sound familiar? These are just a few of the promises that have been made, and believe me, they can deliver. But all too often there is a high price: asphyxiation of the skin, accelerated dehydration, photosensitivity. In Plain english: cutting oxygen exchange to the skin, premature aging, increased risk of sun spots. Yes, the very evils we were initially fighting catch up to us ten-fold.

Hmmm, rather irritating isn’t it? But it is a simple truth we all know: Rarely are there quick fixes in life. We can however have all that we desire. Fortunately for us our skincare is one thing that is within our control. It really boils down to choices. The good ones, the ones that will give us optimal health and the glow we desire, are within our reach. Keep reading my blog. Learn from my advice and I will lead you to every problem solver you could ever hope for.

Healthy Skin From Within

It’s not just the creams that we slather on our skins that make a difference in healthy skin. I have put together a very short summary of which foods and drink that can assist in the quest for beautiful glowing skin. It has been a long time since I was a teenager but I still have acne prone skin. My skin tells me immediately when I have been indulging in a not-so healthy diet. As our largest organ we should pay attention to what our skin is telling us. Stress also is a big culprit and our skin usually lets us know when it’s time to slow down and take a breath and include some of these beneficial foods in our daily diets:
