Health benefits of dark chocolate

Many of us like to indulge a bit extra during the weekend 😋
Why not choose dark chocolate 🍫 in that case ? Anything above 70% cocoa is good but more is even better. I think it’s a habit thing and you can work your way up. Start with 70%. I’m now at 90% and find chocolate with 70% cocoa far too sweet.
Dark chocolate may have health benefits as it is naturally high in iron, magnesium, copper and manganese. Another benefit of dark chocolate is that it is high in flavonoids and antioxidants. It has been compared to ‘super fruits’ because of their concentrated source of these phytonutrients, which are higher than those in pomegranates and blueberries. But of course it’s a high fat food and a healthy portion size would not be more than 20 grams. That’s about six small squares.

Natural skin tightening facial mask

Have you thought about a peeling facial treatment but the downtime with flaking skin puts you off? Regular use of the Sea me mask will give you similar results over time without the flaking. Everybody wants healthy, natural looking skin.  There are many things you can do to obtain a healthier looking skin.  Sometimes it can be confusing knowing what steps to take to improve your skin.  That's why we created this simple guide to help lead you in the right direction.  

 

Stay Hydrated

 

Our skin reflects how we treat our body.  If we don't drink enough water, our skin will look dehydrated.  Dehydration can cause our skin to look dry and dull.  Our body requires 8 cups of water daily to remove unwanted toxins and help achieve a glowing skin.

 

Wash Your face before going to bed

 

After a long day, the last thing a woman wants to do is wash her face.  Cleansing your skin before bed is more important than cleansing in the morning because your skin is exposed to the sun, dirt, makeup, debris, and pollution. Don’t forget to wash your face before bed!

 

Protection

 

One of the most important ways to protect the skin is by protecting it from the sun.  Extensive sun exposure can cause a variety of symptoms, some of which include wrinkles, age spots and more.  Use an SPF daily which has at least 10-15 SPF.  When outside for an extended period, look for shade or wear a hat. When swimming, apply sunscreen more often.  

 

Moisturizer

 

Daily Moisturizer is a great defense against dehydrated skin.  Apply a cream or moisturizer after showering to help seal the moisture that your skin has just absorbed in the shower.  Depending on your climate your skin may get dry throughout the day.  Apply moisturizer throughout the day to prevent skin from getting dry

 

Facial Mask

 

Using a facial mask is one of the easiest ways to get healthy glowing skin in just a few minutes.  Some of the benefits of using face masks include:

 

increases hydration: Face masks can bring moisture and hydration to dry and dehydrated skin types.  The water from the mask penetrates deep into the skin to soften the skin and improve its elasticity. When skin is hydrated it becomes firmer and obtains a more youthful appearance.

Cleansers and moisturizers usually contain 5-10% active ingredients whereas serums contain up to 70% active ingredients. Additional active ingredients mean you are getting more results when looking to reduce fine lines, brighten and firm skin.
