Steps for a Healthier Skin
Everybody wants healthy, natural looking skin. There are many things you can do to obtain a healthier looking skin. Sometimes it can be confusing knowing what steps to take to improve your skin. That's why we created this simple guide to help lead you in the right direction.
Our skin reflects how we treat our body. If we don't drink enough water, our skin will look dehydrated. Dehydration can cause our skin to look dry and dull. Our body requires 8 cups of water daily to remove unwanted toxins and help achieve a glowing skin.
Wash Your face before going to bed
After a long day, the last thing a woman wants to do is wash her face. Cleansing your skin before bed is more important than cleansing in the morning because your skin is exposed to the sun, dirt, makeup, debris, and pollution. Don’t forget to wash your face before bed!
One of the most important ways to protect the skin is by protecting it from the sun. Extensive sun exposure can cause a variety of symptoms, some of which include wrinkles, age spots and more. Use an SPF daily which has at least 10-15 SPF. When outside for an extended period, look for shade or wear a hat. When swimming, apply sunscreen more often.
Daily Moisturizer is a great defense against dehydrated skin. Apply a cream or moisturizer after showering to help seal the moisture that your skin has just absorbed in the shower. Depending on your climate your skin may get dry throughout the day. Apply moisturizer throughout the day to prevent skin from getting dry
Using a facial mask is one of the easiest ways to get healthy glowing skin in just a few minutes. Some of the benefits of using face masks include:
increases hydration: Face masks can bring moisture and hydration to dry and dehydrated skin types. The water from the mask penetrates deep into the skin to soften the skin and improve its elasticity. When skin is hydrated it becomes firmer and obtains a more youthful appearance.
reduces fine lines: Regular use of a face mask can reduce the signs of aging such as fin lines, brown spots, and wrinkles. In addition, you can enjoy softer and smoother skin.
improves skin firmness. Loose skin can make you look older than you are. There are many types of treatments to help firm skin. Using a face mask is at the top of the list to help increase skin firmness.
Serum is being implemented into skin care routines is on the rise. Serums have the highest concentration of active ingredients that you can get without a prescription. Cleansers and moisturizers usually contain 5-10% active ingredients whereas serums contain up to 70% active ingredients. Additional active ingredients mean you are getting more results when looking to reduce fine lines, brighten and firm skin.

What makes milk awesome for skin? Is it its moisturizing abilities or exfoliating properties, skin toning tendencies or its ability to even out uneven skin discoloration, milk is your best bet.
The main active nutrient in milk is the lactic acid. Lactic acid in milk serves as a deep pore cleanser. It cleanses out dirt and dust particles clogging pores, reducing acne, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples breakout.
Other nutrients include Vitamin A, D, B12, B6, Biotin, potassium and calcium. They all function in giving the skin a soft texture, removing wrinkle lines, moisturize, hydrates, and even out hyperpigmentation.
Ways to cleanse your face using milk:
Milk and rose water: This is one of the easy-to-make cleansers using milk. Just add few drops of rose water with milk and apply on your face. Massage on the face in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Wash off with cold water to close open skin pores.
Milk and turmeric cleanser: This cleansing combination is a skin lightener and brightener. Turmeric has lightening properties and milk evens out skin discolorations. Using both as a cleanser would result to an amazingly glowing skin.
Simply make a paste with turmeric and milk. Gently cleanse your skin in a circular motion (avoiding your under eye circle) for 3 mins, and wash off with cold water.
Milk and honey cleanser: Honey has many antioxidants so you should add few drops of honey to your face pack to get a glowing and flawless skin. Instead of applying milk alone, add few drops of honey and then massage on your face in circular motion. If you have pimples or acne, add few drops of lemon juice. Lemon juice is a natural remedy to treat acne or pimples.
Milk and carrot juice cleanser: Carrot has beta-carotene that tightens, exfoliates and moisturises the skin. You can use this vegetable to cleanse your skin, fight wrinkles and make it glow with shine. Mix grated carrot or carrot juice with milk. You can add yoghurt to make a facial cleanser. Apply on the face and massage in circular motions. Leave for 2-3 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Milk, yoghurt and carrot can make your skin oily so you can follow up with a mild face wash.
