Glowing healthy skin naturally

Glowing healthy skin is not an overnight miracle.
It’s easy thinking that piling on all the makeup products in the world will help. To achieve natural radiance that makes your skin look healthy and flawless we need to treat our skin at its core and adopt good habits.

Always remove your makeup. Leaving it on clogs the pores which may cause blemishes. Your skin needs to breathe while it’s in repair mode. Double cleanse.

Apply sunscreen also in the winter that blocks UVA and UVB rays. A longtime exposure to the sun can cause wrinkles, age spots and more serious skin problems.

Eat fruits, vegetables, greens, protein and vitamins. Cut down on sugar

Exercise regularly to stimulate your blood circulation. If you don’t have time with anything else, take a brisk walk around the block. Notice the glow on your face.

Try to get at least 8 hours sleep

Make time for “me time” and try to avoid stress. Ever notice that you tend to break out more when you are stressed?

Drink water

Do a facial massage when you apply your cream. I mix Make my day cream with Face it serum. Making sure not to pull the skin.

Use gentle skincare products.

Use a face mask like Sea me mask twice a week. It really gives you a noticeable glow and is a true Cinderella mask. Packed with organic ingredients, chlorella and antioxidants that will really make a difference to your skin.

Remember beautiful skin is not a sprint it’s a marathon.

How do you use a serum

How do you use a serum? Typically after cleansing but before moisturizing. A few drops can also be mixed into your moisturizer. A serum is a blend of high concentrations of potent, active ingredients. Serums are made to absorb quickly and deeply into the skin. Usually a bit thinner in consistency so perfect for layering. Seaweed a powerhouse ingredient in skincare

Seaweed is not just healthy to eat with your sushi, it is also a powerhouse ingredient in skincare. Seaweed and other marine algae are rich in amino acids and antioxidants that help to fight the signs of aging and promote collagen. Because of the anti-inflammatory properties, seaweed can help calm down sensitive skin, while the essential fatty acids support the skin barrier.

As seaweed is nutritionally packed, it´s also great for the hair and scalp.

Soothing, hydrating, strengthens and adds shine to hair.

When you use Sea me mask on your face, neck and decolletage don’t forget your scalp and hair. You will look like a scary green monster for 20 minutes, but hey presto, emerge as a butterfly. Sea me mask has a whopping 5% chlorella compared to other skincare brands with 0,05% chlorella. Sea me mask is the real thing!

What happens to your skin when you are sleeping 😴

What happens to your skin when you are sleeping? There is a reason it’s called beauty sleep. When you sleep it gives your skin a chance to restore, repair and recover. There is actually a fair amount of research and science done about the concept of beauty sleep. This is when some of the most significant internal and epidermal revival takes place. When you sleep your body produces collagen which keeps your skin healthy, promotes cell reproduction and minimizes fine lines. Personally I use a silk pillowcase to avoid sleeping marks in my face and it’s also better for your hair. Even if the Algica in our Make my day cream has tested to be UV resistant it’s beneficial to use as a night cream for other reasons. It’s rich in antioxidants and a powerhouse of nutrients. Did you know that your skin absorbs a higher level of nutrients while you sleep ? So go ahead, close your eyes and take that nap 😴 😴 😴

  • Improved moisture retention by its ability to bind water, similar to hyaluronic acid
  • A future natural, non-toxic and environmentally friendly UV filter
  • COSMOS Certified Organic

  • Completely odor-free
  • The dry form is long-lasting and does not require preservatives
  • Rheology modifying properties

Creating the best face cream ever made

What goes into the process of creating a new skincare product?

I knew I wanted to add a face cream to my line of organic skincare products.

Then I had to ask myself. What do I want from a face cream, other than 100% natural and as high organic content as possible in sustainable packaging?

I knew I wanted plenty of hydration, to prevent loss of moisture, reduce appearance of acne and wrinkles, anti-inflammatory benefits, increase cell regeneration and enhance collagen levels.

I really wanted to use a UV filter as I know how damaging UV rays are to the skin, whether its summer or a cloudy winter day. But the existing UV filters are still not the best for the planet, I hesitated. Like a sign from the universe, I was contacted by Sofie Allert, the CEO of Swedish algae factory. She informed me they are growing organic Algica, an algae shell that has shown promise to be a future sunscreen and antipollution protection for the skin.

We launched Make my day last month with carefully selected active organic ingredients that tick off the points on my wish list. A soothing day cream rich in antioxidants and superfoods like Algica, Squalane, Jojoba seed oil, Cocoa seed butter, Oat kernel oil, Rosehip oil, Blueberry seed oil, Turmeric, Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E.

Make my day leaves you with a revitalized complexion and balanced moisture

From idea to beauty product on the shelf

Have you ever thought how, why and who is behind the skin care you find in the shop?
To create a skin care product can take months or even years from idea to shelf

First comes the idea and here I’m lucky to own a skincare company , as I’m working through my own wishlist. I have studied science of natural health, so I’m quite sure what ingredients I would like in a product and even more sure about ingredients I would not like. I work together with a chemist who is an expert in formulating cosmetics as the ingredients I would like to have in there might not go together. She also ads valuable points and thinks about preservation and such things I don’t know about. At the same time, I work on packaging and barcodes with our talented designer Nicole Waller and think about the text that has to go on the packaging. I started out making the first product All you need is me with a cheeky humorous text, so now of course all the following products have to be humorous too. At this point the formulator may be ready to send the first test of a new product . It has never happened that I am happy with the first test, so we revise formula and repeat the process again and again until we are happy and in love with the test.
From here on we can have many delays again when it comes to ingredient availability as I only use 100% natural and as high organic content as possible.
Then also we keep our fingers crossed that the packaging ordering and delivery runs smoothly. Lastly we need to get a slot in the manufacturing to make and fill the tubes. Finally the product is ready to be shipped out to stores and spas. Never is it a perfect problem free process, there is always something. Maybe that’s why I’m like a proud mama every time I get a new product on the market. Now when you know the process it’s my great pleasure to show off our newest spa product Sea me mask , the visible wow. 100% natural and 96% organic The ingredients are :
Chlorella- rich in amino acids and antioxidants, helps improve the production of your skin’s collagen. Tightens skin and smooths fine lines and wrinkles
Sodium hyaluronate- powerful anti aging ingredient naturally occurring in skin. Plumps up skin and the appearance of wrinkles is greatly diminished
Aloe vera- soothing antioxidant that increases elasticity
Pullulan- tightens and firms skin. A natural plant based polysaccharide
Spearmint and peppermint essential oils- brightening and uplifting
