Antipollution means anti-aging

Antipollution = anti-aging
You may have heard the term antipollution being used more frequently about skincare and makeup over the past few years. But what does it actually mean? If you are living or working in a city you can’t help but notice the dust in the street coloring everything grey. You may not notice that the air smells bad if you breathe the polluted air every day. Then when you visit the countryside, the air smells so good you know that you have been in a polluted environment. What is this pollution doing to our skin? There is a great deal of interest in the subject and a lot of emerging scientific research is being done. Toxic air has been linked to premature aging, accelerating wrinkles and age spots. The small particles enter through our pores. If you are not in the city, it doesn’t help being nearby as the particles are spread by the wind. That’s why we see more and more antipollution products on the market. Traffic pollution is emerging as the single most toxic substance for our skin. We were delighted to hear that Algica, an algae that is one of the active ingredients in our Make my day cream has been cleared as an antipollution substance after clinical studies.
Algica, together with Vitamin E, also an antipollution protector in Make my day cream makes it an effective pollution shield.

A new totally natural UV block from algae

In our Make my day we have included Algica
The algae-based silica material with unique and powerful properties developed by nature.
- Cleanses the skin by absorption of impurities, sweat and bacteria
- Efficient carrier material that enables efficient uptake of vitamins and nutrients by the skin
- Improved moisture retention by its ability to bind water, similar to hyaluronic acid
- A future natural, non-toxic and environmentally friendly UV filter
- COSMOS Certified Organic
- Transparent on the skin
- Completely odor-free
- The dry form is long-lasting and does not require preservatives
- Rheology modifying properties
- The material also shows promise for anti-pollution (currently testing)
- It is available as a dry powder and as a water-based cream. The dry material is preferable for oil-based formulations and serums, while the cream is easy to formulate into lotions and face masks
These properties have been tested in scientific studies
Creating the best face cream ever made

What goes into the process of creating a new skincare product?
I knew I wanted to add a face cream to my line of organic skincare products.
Then I had to ask myself. What do I want from a face cream, other than 100% natural and as high organic content as possible in sustainable packaging?
I knew I wanted plenty of hydration, to prevent loss of moisture, reduce appearance of acne and wrinkles, anti-inflammatory benefits, increase cell regeneration and enhance collagen levels.
I really wanted to use a UV filter as I know how damaging UV rays are to the skin, whether its summer or a cloudy winter day. But the existing UV filters are still not the best for the planet, I hesitated. Like a sign from the universe, I was contacted by Sofie Allert, the CEO of Swedish algae factory. She informed me they are growing organic Algica, an algae shell that has shown promise to be a future sunscreen and antipollution protection for the skin.
We launched Make my day last month with carefully selected active organic ingredients that tick off the points on my wish list. A soothing day cream rich in antioxidants and superfoods like Algica, Squalane, Jojoba seed oil, Cocoa seed butter, Oat kernel oil, Rosehip oil, Blueberry seed oil, Turmeric, Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E.
Make my day leaves you with a revitalized complexion and balanced moisture

“This is a revolutionary product, and we are first in the world with a day cream containing Algica” said Tina de Sousa, CEO at True organic of Sweden.
Make my day is a soothing face cream rich in antioxidants and super foods like oat kernel oil, rosehip oil, blueberry seed oil, turmeric, hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E. The revolutionary ingredient is Algica, the shell of an organically grown microalgae. Tests are currently being conducted to approve this algae material by the EU as an environmentally friendly UV-filter for use in sunscreen. Algica shells originate from the sea and are thereby completely safe for oceans and sea life. As we are all aware today, we need to protect our fragile oceans from harmful and unnatural chemical substances that endanger life in our waters. https://swedishalgaefactory.com/lab/personal-care/ Make my day leaves your skin with a revitalized complexion, balanced moisture levels while naturally slowing the signs of aging and protecting against all harsh elements. 100% natural 79% organic Sustainable packaging from sugarcane
