Antipollution means anti-aging

Antipollution = anti-aging
You may have heard the term antipollution being used more frequently about skincare and makeup over the past few years. But what does it actually mean? If you are living or working in a city you can’t help but notice the dust in the street coloring everything grey. You may not notice that the air smells bad if you breathe the polluted air every day. Then when you visit the countryside, the air smells so good you know that you have been in a polluted environment. What is this pollution doing to our skin? There is a great deal of interest in the subject and a lot of emerging scientific research is being done. Toxic air has been linked to premature aging, accelerating wrinkles and age spots. The small particles enter through our pores. If you are not in the city, it doesn’t help being nearby as the particles are spread by the wind. That’s why we see more and more antipollution products on the market. Traffic pollution is emerging as the single most toxic substance for our skin. We were delighted to hear that Algica, an algae that is one of the active ingredients in our Make my day cream has been cleared as an antipollution substance after clinical studies.
Algica, together with Vitamin E, also an antipollution protector in Make my day cream makes it an effective pollution shield.

Jojoba oil in Make my day face cream

When we at True organic of Sweden create new products, every single ingredient is carefully selected. Equally important is what we don’t want in the product. We are much stricter than the profit driven organic certification bodies. In our new Make my day face cream we have jojoba(ho-ho ba) oil. The thought behind it is, that our skin is made up of natural wax esters (called sebum). The sebum locks in moisture to keep skin hydrated and healthy. The sebum production begins to decrease as we age, which means, fine lines, dry skin and sagging take place . The amazing thing with the jojoba plant is that it naturally produces wax esters identical to our very own sebum. This means jojoba oil mimics our own skin’s natural oils and can penetrate at deeper levels. Because it is able to penetrate deep into the skin, it may help to ferry down the other active ingredients in Make my day where they can do some great work.
Jojoba oil is a real multitasker and it’s well researched. It has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. Jojoba oil is loaded with antioxidants, Vitamin B, minerals like chromium, copper and zinc. It also contains both omega 6 and omega 9.
It balances out your complexion, adding more sebum where it’s needed and less where you don’t.
Jojoba oil is for people with acne prone skin, people who want to slow down the aging process, people with sensitive skin, people with dry skin or patches, people with oily skin.
Jojoba oil is simply a star ingredient, wouldn’t you agree?

A new totally natural UV block from algae

In our Make my day we have included Algica
The algae-based silica material with unique and powerful properties developed by nature.
- Cleanses the skin by absorption of impurities, sweat and bacteria
- Efficient carrier material that enables efficient uptake of vitamins and nutrients by the skin
- Improved moisture retention by its ability to bind water, similar to hyaluronic acid
- A future natural, non-toxic and environmentally friendly UV filter
- COSMOS Certified Organic
- Transparent on the skin
- Completely odor-free
- The dry form is long-lasting and does not require preservatives
- Rheology modifying properties
- The material also shows promise for anti-pollution (currently testing)
- It is available as a dry powder and as a water-based cream. The dry material is preferable for oil-based formulations and serums, while the cream is easy to formulate into lotions and face masks
These properties have been tested in scientific studies
Squalane in our Make my day cream and Body buddy lotion

It’s an oil that is increasingly common in skincare.
We have squalane in our face cream Make my day and in our body lotion Body buddy.
The reason is that it is a phenomenal multitasking moisturizing oil
that leaves skin visibly plump, hydrated and minimizes signs of redness and irritation.
Squalane reduces the look of fine line and wrinkles, locks in moisture, improves skin
elasticity, helps protect skin and assists with oil control while it doesn’t block pores.
The squalane we use is naturally derived from olives.
Watch out though, there is also squalene with an e.
This is either unethically derived from shark liver or a synthetic material.
Squalane -yes! Squalene -no!
