Have you heard about the new trend earthing or grounding? This involves walking barefooted 🦶in nature. At the beach, in the park or anywhere else you feel comfortable taking your shoes off. It’s the latest wellbeing trend. A study by the University of California Irvine has suggested that skin-to-earth contact could have many potential benefits, including reduced inflammation and pain and increased blood flow. This is because the earth is loaded with electrons that have an antioxidant effect. You have to spend at least 30 minutes barefoot to get the benefits 🌿
For your eyes only. To maintain eye health, go for goji berries. Just a handful of goji berries have been found to help improve the density of the protective pigments in your eyes. At the University of California people aged 45-65 participated in a trial that found that those eating 28g (a handful) of goji berries five days a week for 90 days had an improvement in the protective pigments that filter out blue light and act as a sunscreen for the eyes. Another group took specific eye health supplements, but their levels of this protective pigment remained the same by the end of the study. So go ahead, go for some gojis 🌿
UV shield this spring? Make My Day contains the revolutionary ingredient, Algica. Algica work as an efficient SPF booster. First in vitro studies showed that Algica increase the SPF in a formulation with an average of 23%. In vivo studies shows that Algica can boost the SPF with an average of 13 % togheter with inorganic UV filters and with an average of 10 % with organic UV filters. ✨ Algica's unique porous structure absorbs between 10-20 times more sweat, oil, bacteria and impurities, and provides three times faster absorption of oil and sweat, compared to other synthetic silica ingredients and diatomaceous earth. The unique pore structure of Algica can also work as a carrier of other active ingredients such as vitamins and nutrients. ✨ Algica has proven capabilities to regulate moisture levels in the skin. A controlled in vivo, randomized, double-blind study conducted by an external actor showed that Algica’s moisturizing properties fully match those of hyaluronic acid.
The same study showed that the feeling of Algica on the skin is smoother. Algica is perceived as easier to apply and is absorbed faster than hyaluronic acid. Algica's sensory modifying properties make the feeling of the product smooth and exclusive.
Be aware of the humidity changes in the climate because that has an impact on your skin’s needs. The colder the temperature, the dryer the air. This means that during cold weather the skin tends to loose moisture when it evaporates into the cold air. To prevent this moisture loss it's important to use an oil, that locks in moist into the outer layers of the skin. When weather goes into spring, or warmer climate, the humidity levels increases in the air. This is why our skin feels less dry in warmer, more humid climates. Then adapt your routine to decrease the amount oil used. In daytime our soft Make My Day. This cream is excellent during sunnier times as the Algica in it acts as a uv filter. This one does the trick by itself, in warmer climate. Many of you choose to use the cream during the day and the oil over night. Just keep some attention to what your skin is telling you it needs and adapt the amount of oil contra cream according to what feels is giving you the most comfort. 💚

Some of the reasons you should choose organic skincare products. Not only are organic skincare products preferable for the environment as organic farming procedures are better, they are also beneficial to wildlife as well. These practices produce less dangerous waste from fertilizers and pesticides. Up to 100% of organic skincare products contain active ingredients. In synthetic skincare products, active ingredients usually only make up 5-10% of its contents. To further prove this point, natural ingredients work in synergy with each other and become more powerful together.
