Benefits of steaming your face

If you are not in a hurry, add steaming your face to your spa ritual. You should never be in a hurry anyway when doing a spa ritual 😉
Steaming opens up pores for a deeper clean and eliminates acne causing bacteria. The warm steam in combination with an increase in perspiration dilates blood vessels and so increases circulation. The increased circulation means a promotion of collagen and elastin production. The steam naturally helps to hydrate your skin which helps your skin absorb skincare better.
Steaming your face doesn’t have to be complicated. You can even do it over the sink. Fill the sink with hot water, you can even add a few drops of essential oil. Get a chair and place it in front of the sink so you are comfortable. Get a soft fluffy towel over your head. Steam your face for about 5-10 minutes. If it’s too hot, just raise and lower your head above the sink or lift the towel a bit.
Now you are ready to continue with a face mask for a continued spa ritual or if you have less time, your normal daily routine . Enjoy 😊

Sustainable plastic for True organic of Sweden

Who would like to hear some good news today?

A plastic eating super enzyme was found by scientists by accident in a compost heap of leaves . This mutated bacterial enzyme breaks down plastic bottles in hours. Not only that, but the leftover material is even good enough to be 100% recycled into new food grade plastic. This gives some hope that more solutions will be found for all kinds of plastic. It’s estimated that we annually worldwide produce about 359 million tons of plastic with at least 150 million tons left in landfills or in our environment. I see more and more sustainable plastic replacement products which is positive. But we still have a long way to go. Our tubes at True organic of Sweden are made of sustainable, compostable sugarcane.

Antipollution means anti-aging

Antipollution = anti-aging

You may have heard the term antipollution being used more frequently about skincare and makeup over the past few years. But what does it actually mean? If you are living or working in a city you can’t help but notice the dust in the street coloring everything grey. You may not notice that the air smells bad if you breathe the polluted air every day. Then when you visit the countryside, the air smells so good you know that you have been in a polluted environment. What is this pollution doing to our skin? There is a great deal of interest in the subject and a lot of emerging scientific research is being done. Toxic air has been linked to premature aging, accelerating wrinkles and age spots. The small particles enter through our pores. If you are not in the city, it doesn’t help being nearby as the particles are spread by the wind. That’s why we see more and more antipollution products on the market. Traffic pollution is emerging as the single most toxic substance for our skin. We were delighted to hear that Algica, an algae that is one of the active ingredients in our Make my day cream has been cleared as an antipollution substance after clinical studies.

Algica, together with Vitamin E, also an antipollution protector in Make my day cream makes it an effective pollution shield.

Oils inside and outside

There are numerous benefits with using topical facial oils but here I wanted to talk about oils as an internal supplement. With a background in Science of natural health, I want to put forward the fantastic benefits for your body you can get from taking some oils as an addition to your diet. An oil that I have taken regularly for many years is evening primrose oil (jättenattljus olja). It regulates hormones and is very helpful if you have pms. Reduces pain, bloating and acne. Many women who go through menopause also use evening primrose oil as it helps deal with common side effects. This is not something you take on occasion, it’s an everyday supplement. It also gives your skin moisture from the inside. Sorry boys, this was a very female oriented post. The beautiful photo is taken by @thompas_images . The photo features our topical Face it serum, please don’t consume ;)

Anti pollution organic skincare

We can now claim that our Make my day cream protects skin from air pollution damage. A recently conducted study showed that Algica, which is one of the ingredients in Make my day, prevents harmful air pollution from reaching the skin. Exposure of the skin to air pollutants has been associated with skin aging, inflammation, sagging, uneven and dull skin tone. Air pollution may even be as damaging as sun exposure on unprotected skin.
We are very excited about this news! Algica is a real hero ingredient 😀💫✨For more information about Algica check out swedishalgaefactory.com

Algae in skincare

Treasures under the surface.
Algae is really hot right now, and with good reason.
It’s the food of the future, in supplements, skincare and even an alternative to fossil fuels. Packed with high levels of calcium, iron, potassium, Vitamin A, C, and K, selenium and magnesium. It’s the future superfood that could feed the entire world. It’s already in dairy and nondairy products, food colorings and spices. We have included it in our Sea me mask, a true Cinderella mask that detoxifies and leaves you with clear, radiant skin. We also have Algica in our Make my day cream. Algica is an algae which is currently being registered in EU as the first future totally natural sunscreen. Algica comes from the sea, so it will not harm sea life. Algae can also be found in numerous supplements. Working wonders with enormous benefits for the whole body. I’m especially grateful for the excellent dental health a specific algae supplement brings. The versatile algae is entering an extremely exciting phase in its history and I believe we will see it in all sorts of products and industry.
I’m telling you… algae is the future.

Close Chinese wetmarkets

Spring has sprung in Sweden. What puts a damper on things is that the ban has been lifted on the horrific , disease ridden animal markets in China. Animals cramped in small metal baskets treated with extreme cruelty. If they don’t care about animals, then look at how the world is today and the tragedy the pandemic has caused. I don’t get how these markets are allowed to open again, do you?
